Maisie + Anthony // Colorful Midsummer Backyard Wedding
HOWDY!
Maisie + Anthony’s wedding was everything I love in a day; colorful, intimate, relaxed, and drop-dead gorgeous. From an expertly curated playlist (that happened to play Queen’s Fat Bottom Girls right before the ceremony) to the perfectly wild + overflowing bouquets, their vision of a midsummer festival-of-the-flowers wedding was absolutely executed.
These sweethearts chose to wed on Maisie’s family land, complete with chickens, ducks, turkeys, and some freshly-birthed kittens in the barn! They exchanged personal vows and performed a Japanese sake-sharing tradition called san-san-kudo before sharing their first married kiss, with Maisie’s veil blowing off on the breeze, then set off on their joyful recessional. A delicious barbeque, low-key sunset reception, and dancing under the stars completed their stunning day! I know I say it every time, but it’s truly such an honor to be a part of both the major milestones and small, intimate details of my couples’ nuptials.
